About Us
Illinois Lung & Critical Care Institute, a part of OSF HealthCare, is the region's premier provider of advanced treatment for critical care, pulmonary, and sleep medicine. Founded in 1982, as Peoria Pulmonary, our practice's name has changed several times to reflect the expanding role our physicians serve in the local medical community. We provide patients with the best in clinical practices and technology.
The Illinois Lung team is comprised of health care professionals that have extensive experience in a variety of specialties. From board-certified physicians and advanced practice providers to dedicated technicians and capable office staff, each member of the team has spent years developing relationships with patients and referring physicians.
Some of our key areas of expertise include:

Our physicians serve as medical directors for the Medical Intensive Care Units at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. In addition to providing inpatient care at numerous area hospitals, our physicians see patients in our main Peoria office and satellite clinic locations.
In 2009, Illinois Lung & Critical Care Institute joined OSF HealthCare, owned and operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. As part of the OSF Community of Caregivers, we are dedicated to the Mission, Vision and Values of the Sisters. Through their health care ministry, the Sisters have provided skilled and compassionate health care to diverse populations in the central and upper Midwest for more than 130 years.
Over the years, our name has changed, but our philosophy has not: to teach, to learn through research, to bring to the area the newest technologies, to identify the best trends in treatments, and to provide safe, new procedures for the patients in the region we serve.
